When the world was thrust into chaos by the pandemic of 2020, Sam Gordon, alongside his comrade Max Barcan, emerged as the guiding lights for the members of BPS XC. With passion and determination, they inspired and rallied the team to stay active and motivated, even when the sports world seemed to have hit pause.

But Sam's leadership didn't stop there. In the fall of 2022, he led the BPS XC team to an incredible achievement – a historic qualification for the 2022 MIAA Meet of Champions All State Meet. This was a monumental milestone for the team, marked by a remarkable fourth-place finish in the fiercely competitive Division 1C race.

Sam Gordon embodies the essence of "Boston Strong" – a spirit of resilience and tenacity that has come to define the city. His dedication, strength, and unwavering commitment to his team and sport have left an indelible mark on the world.
